Where facts come from

1. Manufacturer datasheets and installation manuals
2. Manufacturer warranty documents for the UK
3. Official compatibility lists and tariff pages
4. Regulators and government sources
5. Distributor copies of manufacturer documents, only when the official file can't be retrieved, and labelled as such

How each fact is checked

We store a copy of each document with a fingerprint, so we can spot when a manufacturer changes it. Each figure records the page it came from, the conditions it applies to, and the date we checked it. A person approves every figure before it goes live.

Some figures are calculated from others, for example usable capacity from total capacity × depth of discharge. We always show the working.

Independence

We don't sell or install batteries. We may earn money from installer quote requests and clearly labelled listings. Money never changes a specification, a compatibility result or a calculation.
